Adding photos for The Smokehouse blog
The Smokehouse writes a post every day and picks a picture for each one. It always prefers photos you have uploaded over stock product images, so even a small library of real photos noticeably improves the posts.
Adding photos
- Open Caliente Settings (this menu is admin-only).
- Go to the Blog section and click Manage photos. The photo library opens right there — you do not leave the settings screen.
- Click Add photos and pick one or several images at once.
Each photo can carry an optional when to use note — for example "great for recipe posts" or "holiday promos only" — which the writer takes into account. The X on a photo removes it.
What is worth uploading
The smoker, kitchen and process shots, events and tastings, the team, and packaging in real settings. Anything on-brand that is not already a product pack shot.
If the library is empty the blog still publishes — it just falls back to product images for the post covers.
